In 2012, I designed and screen printed the wedding welcome bags for my Vermont wedding. Little did I know, the small business my sister and I started in high school was going to take a turn inspired by this DIY project.
After my wedding, I started to design custom tote bags and sell them on Etsy and eventually on my own site. I worked day in and day out to perfect my designs and screen printing skills. From Massachusetts to North Carolina and back again, my business has come along for the ride.
While my roots are certainly in wedding welcome bags, I noticed a need for bulk gifting for other occasions as well:
- event favors
- real estate closing gifts
- baby showers
- birthday goodie bags
- family reunion welcome gifts
- bar/bat mitzvah favors
- client thank you's
- vacation house welcome bags
The past few years I worked with wonderful small businesses across the country to offer our customers a one-stop-shop for welcome bags and gifts. I thoroughly enjoyed my time working and learning from other small business owners. It was fun and challenging to coordinate products along with tote bags to create cohesive, polished welcome bags. From snacks to mementos, we had curated the perfect selection of favors to add to welcome packages.
Once 2020 hit, there was a pause on so many things including large events such as weddings. At this moment, I decided it was time to change direction and focus more on my products and designs. I love all of the companies I previously worked with and hope we can work together again in the future. Check out the list of these fabulous companies here so you can continue to shop and support the small businesses that help build your dream wedding welcome bags.
Moving forward, I will continue to design and print my custom, handmade, high quality tote bags and favors (tea towels, ornaments, and banners) sold in bulk for weddings, events, client gifts, wholesale/retail shops, and more. I am also thrilled to offer a selection of ready to ship, handmade gifts for birthdays, holidays, or just because.
As many of us are spending more time at home we have developed an appreciation for handmade crafts that offer us calm and inspiration in a difficult time. To foster the love of creating I have decided to offer a growing selection of my blanks including tea towels, ornaments, tote bags, and banners for DIY projects. I am working to bring inspiration, patterns, and new techniques to my blog for my DIY readers so we can create a community of makers learning from each other and creating by hand.
I am excited to change direction a bit and focus more on my small batch, handmade products along with learning new crafts and sharing them with you all.
